For investors and the public, the ministry is the focal point for the country's digital policy. The digital economy is reported to contribute about **23.2% of GDP**, with a target of reaching at least **25.5% by the end of 2025**. Foreign direct investment in the technology sector is also strong, with a figure of **USD16.9 billion** reported for 2024 from leading technology companies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google and Oracle.
